March 2006

Maintenance release (3.3.3770) has been posted to the Download page. This update contains fixes to problems reported by users plus several new and enhanced features including:

  • Added "Restore Database" option to Database Open dialog

  • Implemented new Default Backup folder. (By default this location is established as a sub-folder of the database. For example, if the database is in C:\RY3, the default backup folder will be C:\RY3\Backup. This initial setting may be changed from Tools > Preferences > File Locations.)

  • Now display *sample database* in recently opened database lists, rather than showing full directory name

  •  Implemented direct backup to CD using Windows XP CD Writing Wizard. (This facility is only available on Windows XP operating system where the CD device has been enabled for recording)

  •  Added Backup toolbar button (This includes a new One-Click backup process for immediate backup to a set of three standard destinations - "My Documents", "Default Backup Folder" and "Windows XP CD Writing Wizard")

It is intended to provide a facility to duplicate an existing database and would generally only be used by advanced users or under the direction of Computability)

  •  Implemented new multi-person delete. (This works in conjunction with the Build Group type. To utilise one first needs to create and populate a Build group by adding people on the Group > Maintain page. Once the multiple people to be deleted have been identified in this manner, click the Group > Delete > "All Members of Group" menu item. This action cannot be undone and any recovery will require restoration of the database. A pre-requisite of this function is that a backup must have been performed on the day of use.)
